The ASWC Starts Watersports Activity Clubs for Children with Special Needs!
Our new Aiming High SEN Club is in full swing! This weekly sailing club is run at all 3 of our UK centres and is aimed at children with disabilities or special educational needs. This session is part funded by Children in Need and the Andrew Simpson Foundation to engage and increase participation in watersports for children with additional needs.
“These clubs are such a thrilling adventure for our children and they always return to school full of stories and enthusiasm. Children that are normally very anxious are surprising us with their sudden adaptability. They can’t wait to come back each week” – Louise Sullivan, SENCO, English Martyrs Catholic School, Reading
So far we’ve had over 300 hours of fun with the Aiming High activity clubs! We’re looking forward to the rest of the year!
