Youth and Junior Open Training

Our Youth and Junior Open Training has been developed by the watersports centres to help create more opportunities for children to participate in sailing. This series of weekend and week-long clinics will provide opportunities to sailors who can train with high level coaches at Andrew Simpson Watersports Centres.

Across our UK based watersports centres, we have a series of clinics available throughout the winter offering class specific coaching in Optimists, Lasers, RS Feva's and 420's. With clinics and event support also available in the summer, ran at our overseas centre in Lake Garda, Italy.

We are proud to be working with ASWC partners and supporters Nautivela and Olimpic Sails and the UK Laser Association to offer top quality training to youth sailors of all levels and look forward to seeing some high-quality training on the water.

To make this level of sailing accessible to all, and in line with the Andrew Simpson Foundation’s charitable objectives, we are pleased to be able to offer equipment and training subsidies to those who may not ordinarily be provided with the opportunity to participate. Optimist Open Training

Enhance your racing by joining our open training! These clinics will run alongside the youth squad pathway to support the sailors learning and help them pursue their racing goals. Our training is for all abilities; whether you are learning Optimist fundamentals or moving through the squad system, these clinics will benefit your sailing.

Laser Open Training

Are you looking to broaden your Laser training? Our open training is a perfect way to improve and increase your on water learning time. For all abilities, this open training will look to support sailors in achieving their sailing goals.

We are also working with UKLA to provide excellent and effective open training. The open training will initially aim to increase and maintain participation in the Laser Radial fleet through the UKLA coaching dates.

420 Open Training

The next step for crew pairings wanting to move through the squad system, the 420's are a popular youth class as they feed directly into the Olympic pathway. If you've just made the transition or are looking to refine your skills, our training weekends can help you to develop your sailing skills and fine tune your technique as a team.

RS Feva Open Training

An intensive series of training camps for RS Feva’s! As an ever-growing international class, the RS Feva’s are renowned for their effectiveness in building efficient crew work, introducing spinnakers into racing and helping to transition into double-handed dinghies. If you're looking to make the step-up, these training events will be perfect for you.

BIC Techno 293 Open Training

Want to drive your windsurfing to the next level? Our open training is a great opportunity to get on the water with lots of other windsurfers to develop your skills and get access to some great coaching. It doesn’t matter if your beginning your windsurfing journey or have lots of experience, this training will help you progress to the next level.
