Optimist Open Training

Enhance your racing by joining our open training! The training will run alongside the youth squad pathway to support the sailors learning and help them pursue their racing goals. This training is for all abilities; whether you are learning the fundamentals of the Optimist or moving through the squad system, these clinics will benefit your sailing.

We are extremely grateful to our partners, Nautivela, who have provided us with the use of an Optimist fleet, and Olimpic Sails for kitting the boats out with brand new sails, enabling us to further increase participation within the team.

To make this level of sailing accessible to all, and in line with the Andrew Simpson Foundation’s charitable objectives, we are pleased to be able to offer equipment and training subsidies to those who may not ordinarily be provided with the opportunity to participate. If you feel like you would benefit from support for this training series, either through subsidies or use of equipment, then please contact hermione@andrewsimpsonfoundation.org for an application form.
